September 4th 2006:

Lost in grapes

Our first night in Kelowna... would you look at Julie's extreme flexibility
Planting trees was a lot more fun
Kelowna's a nice city... but trying to find decent lodging for six people with their bikes without paying for a hotel or a camping ground was definitively not an easy task. As a result, we ended up sleeping in a school yard and the last week of their trip was spent working in a vignard, tearing off the grapes that wouldn't be ripe enough for september's harvest and throwing them at each other.

After their departure for Quebec, Lynne and I headed for Vancouver island to plant more trees and suffer a bit more.

After that, it's pedaling all the way as winter will be coming fast on us. So we're preparing ourselves for a 150 km a day marathon to reach Costa Rica in our scheduled time.

I'm almost gone!!!
