October 8th 2006:
Everything has come to an end, even resting
It feels like a year since out departure but realizing that it’s only been a month. It’s amazing the number of different spots we put our tent, people we meet and the landscape doesn’t cease to change. I have to admit that we are staying at one of the worst spots we have stayed so far. We are surrounded by RV (recreational vehicles) 50ft long that are homes away form homes for some that are willing to risk everything and live large…with their satellite antenna and bikes hanging on the side. There was even an RV with a sticker that said: “Stop Global Warming”…how can you tell that some have a different concept of conscious living?
Spoiled in San Fran for three days we were lucky enough to be spoiled once again. In the commune in Leggett, CA we met a woman named Sara that was nice enough to host us in Soquel, south of Santa Cruz. The only problem was time. Even with our arrival at 10:30 pm she was for us with a warm diner, smile and big heart. Sara if your reading this thanks again you’re a real angel…blessings. From now on we have to decide…Joshua Tree or do we stay on the coast…we’ll see what happens.
