Riding into misery

As soon as the raining season begins, crabs invade houses... however, the funniest of all is to see them try to climb the sink

After breaking my board and saying goodbye to my girlfriend, I had nothing left to do in Santa Teresa
Time hasn’t moved forward since we have separated. Lynne left to work in Canada by plane and I left alone along the Nicoya Peninsula. Following the oceans beat along the coast as long as I can.

On the road again

It seems like I have found the most challenging road in Costa Rica. 40km in two days by bike and walking another 40km by foot has left me drowning. Literally… at one point the road seemed to disappear, left to push my bike on the beach. With the weight on my bike seemed like I was always running away form one quicksand to another. Now I know how it feels to be a mule. At times I was forced to push my bike up hill in the mid day. Do you have pity for me yet? Maybe this will help…The downhill part was the best. My trailer and I where always racing. My trailer is usually behind me, but in the gravitational world my trailer wants to surpass me. From what I can remember we had about 20 spills together…hum…not so bad.

Ah yeah my first night…living 20m from the ocean you would think I would know about high tide low tide by now…well I sure learnt something that night…at 1am…DAMN!!!

A road that ends up on the beach... Yay!!

Still searching for the bridge
All that was going through my head was a flight back to Canada. My savior was a man named Mario. I encountered him on my travels while I was changing two of my flats. It was nice to have company after having two days alone. Mario even opened his doors to his house to me but the only downfall was that his place was 20km on a dirt road…AHHH!!! A dirt road…I’m exaggerating. I appreciated his offer greatly but I stayed in Samara and paid myself a hotel room for the night…And I say good night you all ‘til next dirt road…Ciao.
